Navana.ai has raised ₹40 crore in a Series A round led by Ronnie Screwvala, with participation from Antler India and other investors, according to Entrackr’s September 7 report.

The company plans to expand voice AI deployments in banking, financial services and insurance, improve speech models for Indian languages and dialects, and develop its contact-centre and automated-evaluation products.

Speech in real operating conditions

Founded by Raoul and Jai Nanavati, Navana describes models covering 12 Indian languages and 45 dialects. It says the systems are designed to handle background noise, overlapping speech, regional accents and code switching—the movement between languages within a conversation.

The company reports more than 100 million voice-AI minutes processed. Entrepreneur’s coverage also describes the funding and enterprise focus. These are announced usage figures, not an independent measure of how accurately each conversation was handled.

What enterprise adoption requires

Navana offers on-premise deployments for organisations concerned with data handling and control. A deployment location alone does not prove regulatory compliance or eliminate the need for access controls, monitoring and appropriate escalation to people.

Its Bodhi model’s advertised benchmarking performance needs to be read against the test set, comparison models and evaluation method. Performance can vary with language, recording quality and the task being completed.

The next useful evidence is therefore operational: errors by language and use case, human handoff rates and the accuracy of actions taken after a call. The financing supports expansion; those measures will show how well the system serves the customers on the other end.
